Launch of the new 2015-Watch report at an informal hearing in the European Parliament PDF Print E-mail

2015 watch report 5The fifth 2015-Watch report by Alliance2015 will be officially launched at an informal parliamentary hearing on the 16 September. Representatives from the European Commission, the Member States and the European Parliament have been invited to take part in the debates that will follow the presentation of the report's results. MEP Gay Mitchell will preside over the hearing.

2015-Watch is an annual publication by Alliance2015, a partnership of European NGOs. The 2015-Watch series, which is produced by EEPA, monitors the EU's contribution to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).  This year's report looks at the question whether EU aid has translated its rhetorical commitment to poverty eradication into tangible results. It found a lack of results on MDGs in EU aid, limited democratic control and inadequate attention to civil society's role in holding governments to account.
