- DG Devco (DG EuropeAid development and Co-operation)
The former Development and EuropeAid Directorate-Generals (DGs) are now incorporated into one single DG, called EuropeAid Development and Co-operation, which will be responsible for designing EU development policies and delivering aid. The new DG formally started its work on the 3rd of January and after a short transitory period, the two DGs will be fully merged and a new structure will be in place by mid-April. The new DG will be headed by Fokion Fotiadis. - European External Action Service (EAAS)
