The Presidency Fund was created to promote the engagement of NGOs and other civil society actors from the 12 new EU Member States in the debate about the EU’s development policy. The actions supported by the Presidency Fund all focus on promoting a more effective NGO engagement in policy dialogue. The purpose of this guide is to provide an overview of how the EU organises its programming for external assistance. The guide includes a library of key documents on EU programming and the EU project cycle. It also includes all country and regional strategy papers and national and regional indicative programmes. Visitors can use this guide to find information on EU financial instruments which are open to non-profit making organisations to fund their development projects. The guide also includes information on how to apply for funding. Under construction This guide provides information on the funding policies of five Dutch co-financing agencies: Novib, Hivos, ICCO, Plan and Cordaid.
